I am a highly versatile producer/director with a background in investigative journalism, working across television, radio, and digital platforms.
I have spent 15 years directing and producing documentaries and long format stories in Australia, conflict zones, and developing countries, working with major broadcasters including Aljazeera Network, SBS Television, ABC Television, Channel 4, CNN and as an independent filmmaker.
My feature documentary directing debut, My Home, Your War, followed a woman and her family through the war in Iraq over three years and was the recipient of many international awards. I went on to work for the Ajazeera television network, as a producer, reporter, and video journalist covering the Asia-Pacific region. I was the also the producer for Hitting Home the AACTA and Walkley award winning series on domestic violence for ABC TV. After this I went on to work as a full-time producer/director for Dateline SBS TV making half hour documentaries on international issues. I am currently working as a Director for Warner Bros and ABC TV.
I have recently started my own production company Big Sista Films which focuses on compelling documentaries for women by women.
I'm interested in merging filmmaking genres to make feature films/documentary series about the big social issues of our time that have a lasting impact.
I have a Masters Degree in Social Science, majoring in Global Communications and International Development, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Media and Communications.
